Case study · Silent conference

Eight sessions in one open space

The client wanted eight sessions to run at the same time in one large room, without speakers from one session disturbing another.

What the client needed

Eight complete sessions running side by side

Every station needed presenters, slides, video playback and audience questions. Building eight separate rooms was not an option, and using eight speaker systems in one room would create too much noise.

What we delivered

An independent AV station for each session

We built eight stations. Each had presenter microphones, audience microphones, a presentation computer, a 75-inch display and its own wireless audio channel.

Instead of loudspeakers, attendees listened through color-coded headphones assigned to their station. They heard the presenter, videos and audience questions through one clear audio feed.

Each station also had audience microphones for live Q&A. Questions were added to that station’s audio feed, so the host and everyone wearing the matching headphones could hear them clearly.

How it worked

Attendees moved freely between sessions

Attendees chose a session, took the matching headphones and listened. When they moved to another session, they switched headphones.

The number of listeners could change at any time. We kept additional and backup headphones ready for each station. One station was also set up as a live podcast interview.

Result

Eight sessions, with no audio interference

All eight sessions ran at the same time in one shared space. Each audience heard only its own session, and the client did not need separate breakout rooms.
